Captain Williams began his career with the Paragould Police Department in 2009 as a patrol officer. Captain Williams served in Uniform Division working his way up through leadership roles including Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant and Patrol Lieutenant. Captain Williams’ background also includes serving on the S.W.A.T. Team for over 17 years with over 15 years as a team leader and now as S.W.A.T. Commander. His background also includes significant training expertise in areas such as firearms, active shooter response, and critical incident response. He is a graduate of the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy and holds a Senior Law Enforcement Certificate as well as an Associate’s Degree. Captain Williams served honorably for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. Captain Williams has over 21 years of total law enforcement service and has also served on the board of the Arkansas Tactical Officer’s Association for the last 7 years.
