Start the festive season off right with the annual Christmas tree lighting at Centennial Park on Friday, December 1 at 6PM. Gather with family and friends as carolers sing and laughter feels the air. 

Line the streets with other spectators for the "12 Days of Christmas" themed Christmas parade on Tuesday, December 5 at 7PM. Bundle up in warm coats, sip hot cocoa, and share in the excitement of the season as the parade winds its way through the heart of town.

On December 8-9th, enjoy Enchanting Nights from 5-9PM. Support local businesses as you purchase Christmas presents in the Downtown shops. Bring your kids for photos with Santa and enjoy $10 carriage rides. Enjoy a storybook setting as you ride around town in a horse-drawn carriage.

Buy your Cocoa Crawl mug early so you can participate in Cocoa Crawl on Saturday, December 9 from 4-8PM. It's not just about the cocoa; it's about savoring the moment, sharing laughter with friends, and creating memories that will last well beyond the holiday season.

2. Bring joy to children.

Across the country, America's Car-Mart will be collecting toys in their 15th Annual Holiday Toy Drive. Drop a toy off at the local dealership that will then be delivered to local children's hospitals. You have until Saturday, December 9th to drop off gifts at 2213 E. Kingshighway.

3. Make custom handmade gifts.

'Tis the season of giving, and what better way to celebrate the holidays than by gifting something truly unique and crafted with care? Join Lotus and Crow on Saturday, December 2 at 3PM for a delightful workshop where creativity meets aromatherapy, and you can craft two products under the guidance of an aromatherapist. A $25 registration fee covers the crafting materials, and you can register by messaging their Facebook page.

4. Enjoy shows at the Collins.

The Collins Theatre has a variety of events during the holiday season to keep you entertained. On Friday, December 1 at 7PM, enjoy a performance by Sand Creek.

The next day on Saturday, December 2 at 7PM, support local singers during "Forever Christmas", a chorale concert by Collins Community Choir. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for children and can be purchased at the door.

Take part in a Grande Ole Opry style show at the Fox  County Christmas event on Thursday, December 21 at 7PM. Listen to local area singers and musicians in this live show broadcast on 104.9 The Fox.

On Saturday, December 16 at 6:30PM and Sunday, December 17 at 2:30PM, enjoy the Nutcracker ballet at the Paragould High School Auditorium. Gather your family and friends to experience the magic, creating lasting memories as you immerse yourselves in the tale of Clara and her magical Nutcraker.

7. Attend Christmas events at local churches.

Enjoy a production of Festival of the King at Southside Community Church. Admission is free with four showtime options.

Purchase some Christmas gifts at St. Mary's Christmas Bazaar while supporting St. Mary's Catholic School. Admission is free and there are refreshments available for purchase. This two-day event will be December 8-9 from 8AM-5PM. Lunch will be served from 11AM-1PM.
