Fire & Life Safety Education

Educating the public is the most effective way to prevent the devastating effects of fire and other injuries, and to introduce strategies to deal with these emergencies. According to the United States Fire Administration (USFA), more than 3,500 Americans die each year in fires and approximately 18,300 are injured. Children and the elderly comprise the majority of these deaths and injuries. To combat these statistics, the Paragould Fire Department has created several pages on the left side of your screen with helpful tips and facts to help keep you, your family and the community safe. The purpose of fire and life safety education is to reduce deaths, injuries, and property loss. By helping to increase knowledge and modify attitudes and behaviors it is our mission to progress towards a safer community, reduce injuries and ultimately eliminate fire deaths.
