Our treasure hunt will take us on a portion of the Dogwood Lane Trail, so wear trail appropriate shoes. Meeting Place: Visitor Center Parking Lot

    Lake Frierson State Park - A nature journal is a place to grow your thoughts, feelings, ideas, observations, and experiences with nature. Keeping a nature journal provides a rich opportunity to study the natural world and develop a deeper relationship with the earth. Join a park interpreter to learn the basics of nature journaling and start a journal of your own. You are welcome to bring your own journal or use one of the handmade journals provided. Meeting Place: Day Use Area by the Playground

    Crowley's Ridge State Park.  Hiking in the dark offers us a chance to experience the survival adaptations of nocturnal animals. Join a park interpreter for a short hike to explore some of these unique features. We will hike part of the Dancing Rabbit Trail which is moderate difficulty. Please wear weather-appropriate shoes and clothing along with bringing plenty of water.  Meet at the campground bathhouse.
