This is a great way to incorporate literacy and physical activity as well as create an opportunity for family bonding. This story walk is a self-guided activity and will be on display from Friday, December 22, 2023 – Sunday, January 7, 2024. Lake Ponder Trail is a 0.5-mile, flat, paved, and ADA-accessible trail. Meet along Lake Ponder Trail.

Join a park interpreter in finding out what animals live at Crowley’s Ridge State Park and what their fur feels like. This is a drop-in program. Feel free to stay as long as you wish. Meet at the Visitor Center.

'Twas the hike before Christmas and all through the woods...Take a break during this holiday season and join the park interpreter for a hike along the 0.5-mile Dogwood Lane Trail. See what gifts are tucked underneath the trees of Lake Frierson State Park and how a hike is the gift that keeps on giving. Hikers are encouraged to wear good walking/hiking shoes and to dress for the weather.
